Group Life Insurance Benefit

Employees based in South Korea are covered for Life Insurance benefits through the Generali Hong Kong Life Insurance plan, which equals 4 times of annual basic salary. For an employee whose sum insured exceeds the Guaranteed Issue Limit of HK$11,625,000, his/her excess coverage will be subject to satisfactory evidence of insurability and subject to approval from Generali. 

Group Total and Permanent Disability (TPD) Benefit

The amount of insurance is 4 times your Basic Annual Salary, subject to the above Guaranteed Issue Limit. Benefit will be payable in one lump sum amount if the Insured Member has continuously suffered from TPD for 6 months as a result of sickness or injury, and are permanently unable to engage in his/her own occupation or in any other reasonable occupation in relation to his/her education, training or experience. 

Upon the payment of this TPD benefit, the Amount of Group Life Insurance as specified in the Policy Schedule will be reduced by the Amount of the TPD Benefit paid.

Group Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Benefit 

The amount of insurance is 4 times your Basic Annual Salary, subject to the above Guaranteed Issue Limit. Benefit will be payable when the Insured Member has sustained bodily injury effected through external, violent and accidental means, where that injury is solely and independently of any other cause and resulted in death or dismemberment within 180 days from the date of injury, subject to the AD&D Schedule of Indemnities.

You will be automatically enrolled for the life insurance plans, administered by Generali, as of your date of hire.
