Maternity & Paternity Leave Overview

NCS India employees who are expecting a new family member will have access to 26 weeks of maternity leave or 10 days paternity leave:
Maternity Leave
All eligible women employees who have worked for the Company continuously for at least 80 days in the 12 months preceding their expected delivery date are entitled to 26 weeks of maternity leave as per the Maternity Benefit (Amendment) Act, 2017.
A female employee who is commissioning a child or who legally adopts a child below 3 months of age shall be entitled to 12 weeks of Maternity Leave. The 12 week period of Maternity Leave will be calculated from the date the child is handed over to the adoptive or commissioning mother.
Paternity Leave
Full time male employees who are having a new born child or legally adopts a child below the age of 3 months will be entitled to a paid leave of 10 working days. The paid paternity leave must be taken as one continuous block of 10 working days within six months of the birth or adoption of the child or it can be taken as two blocks of equal number of days.
